The S-CAP escape hood provides respiratory protection against smoke and fire gases. Studies confirm time and time again that in the event of a fire, the greatest dangers do not come from heat or flames, but from the smoke and fumes produced. Carbon monoxide, which occurs in most fires, is particularly dangerous. S-CAP filters the smoke and fire gases from the air you breathe while protecting your face and eyes. S-CAP consists of an eye-catching, bright yellow hood with a large viewing window. Hood body, inner mask and filter are firmly connected to each other. The revised inner mask guarantees a perfect fit regardless of face shape and head size. The filter reliably retains all pyrolysis products including carbon monoxide. An additional exhalation valve has been built into the hood for the best possible breathing comfort. The headgear attached to the outside fixes the inner mask and at the same time ensures that the hood fits snugly to the head and that freedom of movement is restricted as little as possible. It goes without saying that all materials used (hood, banding and visor) are heat and flame resistant.
