In the event of a fall, the fall arrester stops and prevents the fall. The eyelet allows the attachment of lanyards. The detachable function allows the rope grab to be attached or removed at any point on the lifeline. The overrun function allows the rope grab to follow the user and thus offers freedom of movement.
