In the event of a fire, every second counts. Dräger has developed the PARAT® 5500 series fire escape hood to give you at least 15 minutes to escape safely. The hood protects your lungs from smoke and toxins and filters the air so that you can breathe safely while you escape to safety.

As it completely encloses the head, it also offers protection for the face and especially the eyes. The wide field of vision with its specially shaped visor is designed for clear vision. A special coating prevents it from fogging up exactly when you need a full view.

Thanks to its compact design, the hood can be easily stowed away in a drawer or glove compartment so that it is always within reach when you need it. It can also be easily carried on the body using a belt, shoulder straps or clips. The eye-catching signal color also ensures that you don't have to search for it for long in poor visibility conditions (such as smoke).
